I’m so delighted to share that I finally can mention some of the cast in the new production of the late 80′s film Steel Magnolias. 

I posted a blog last year in October on whom I thought would fit the cast and I got two of them right, Phylicia Rashad and Alfre Woodard. I sooo loved that film, it touched my heart. 

This film is said to feature: Queen Latifah “M’Lynn”- role of Sally Field, Alfre Woodard as “Ouiser” (weezer) Shirley MacClaine’s role, the lovely Phylicia Rashad as “Clairee”- Olympia Dukakis’s role, Jill Scott as “Truvy”-Dolly Parton’s role, Adepero Oduye as “Annelle”- role of Daryl Hannah, and Condola Rashad as “Shelby”- Julia Roberts role. Amazing huh?  I think everybody’s role fits them especially Phylicia Rashad’s. 

As of now, the film begins production in Atlanta and Lifetime is said to air it later in the year. This film has made a new turn with an all black cast and I’m excited to see the turn-out.  If you haven’t seen the first one, check it out, and have tissue in hand. 

Steve Harvey’s book has come to life!  Act like a Lady and Think like a Man has turned into a film that looks very good and has a cast full of talent such as: Michael Ealy, Jerry Ferrara, Meagan Good, Taraji P. Henson, Gabrielle Union, Romany Malco, Regina Hall, and Terrence J.

To wrap it up in a nutshell, the book was basically about Steve Harvey giving women tips on what goes on inside of a man’s head–sex, dating, having kids, etc. The book blew up so big that it went into film.

According to recent reports, British-Australian actress Naomi Watts has landed the role of Princess Diana in Caught In Flight.

The film is said to focus on the final two years of the princess’s life and chronicles. Production is set to begin later this year in Britain.

Yay for her! I see she is just lucky this year…Naomi is also suppose to be playing the role of Marilyn Monroe in “Blonde”. Stay tuned.
